The Return to ZI

ZeldaInformer is back… well, almost. The site is back up, but we won’t be posting anything there until January 1st, so, unless something huge news-wise happens within the next twenty-four hours, don’t expect to see any more posts here on this temporary site. In the meantime, go here to check out the nifty countdown page

GlitterBerri has updated their website with a new graphical representation of the Hyrule Historia Zelda timeline. This new visual timeline is based on the timeline chart that is featured in the book, so it’s the most direct translation we’ll get.

Skyward Sword Theme Covered by STL Ocarina

STL Ocarina, after receiving request after request, has updated their youtube channel with a cover of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword‘s Main Theme on their new double octave ocarina. The new ocarina truly is the best-sounding Zelda-ocarina out there, and this cover isn’t too bad either. Take a listen.

Hyrule Historia: Origins of Impa, Zelda, and Link’s Names

We’ve all heard the famous origin of Zelda’s name. No, not the backstory of Zelda II, the actual person whom the character was named after – Zelda Fitzgerald, wife of literary great F. Scott Fitzgerald. Miyamoto wanted to name the series’ titular princess after someone known for her beauty, and so he settled on the

Last night, I posted a video flip-through of Hyrule Historia, a video that gave more than a few readable looks at the timeline pages contained within the art book. I immediately sent the video to GlitterBerri, who has since translated the main timeline chart contained within the book. The translation of said chart is as

Nintendo of America Big Cheese Reggie Fils-Aime, our favorite video game related celeb, sat down to talk about future pricing for the upcoming Wii U, the successor to the Wii that’s due sometime next year, as well as Nintendo’s performance during the holiday period. Not much in the way of big exciting news, but he

Hyrule Historia Timeline: A Visual Representation

Despite inconsistencies and oddities, it seems the Hyrule Historia timeline is the real deal, at least until Nintendo says otherwise. We’ll have plenty of articles on the topic come New Years, when ZeldaInformer is back up and running, but, until then, I’ve made a graphic for the new timeline, to help all you visual thinkers

Hyrule Historia Timeline Details Spilled, Everything You Need to Know about the Third Branch

That Zelda timeline we posted yesterday? Yeah, it’s basically been confirmed, courtesy of resident translator and longtime Zelda community member GlitterBerri. It’s true – the timeline is a three-branch one, with the traditional Adult and Child split we all know and love founded in Ocarina of Time, plus an alternate story that has Link fail
