Remember that Skyward Sword piano arrangement book we reported on awhile back? Well, I remembered it today and wondered if it had already come out and what music the book, and included CD, featured.

It turns out that the book isn’t so much a sheet music book, as it is a fan book that happens to have sheet music in it.

The book and CD only contain three songs total, while the rest of the book is filled with stickers, a basic game guide, and some developer interviews. So much for this being a real Zelda sheet music book like those liscensed by Nintendo several years ago.

The songs on the CD are not much of a listen either. Yes, they are played well, but they are played moderately and only for a short period of time, clearly intended to help piano-ethusiasts learn the songs.

You can download/listen to the three tracks from the CD below. No doubt, these tracks will be considered a rare find in the future.

Overall, I’m pretty disappointed. It’s my own fault though; I got my hopes up thinking that the book would be entirely focused on sheet music. I thought it would be a sheet music book, not a fan book. It doesn’t help that sheet music for two of the songs is already widely available (though fan-written) and pretty easy to track down with a Google search.
